New - Completely Free Digital Photography Enhancements

Well, based on some feedback from you, we have decided to revamp how we provide for our free digital photo enhancements. It used to be a daily drawings of sorts. But it appears that it was a bit confusing and people didn't always remember to check back to see if they have won. So...

The service is available to anyone for free now. You do have to register which gives you a private folder to upload your photos. Once we get the photos, we will enhancement them and then put them back in your folder.

Nikon Picture Project - Workflow Sample

Well, I was planning to do screenshots but I thought I would try a simple flash movie to show the new workflow of Nikon Picture Project. It is better than NikonView in that you have some more control over the effert of the Auto features as you will see in this movie.

I will probably plan on doing some more of these in the future. Enjoy.

Click here to download it. It will open a new window. Be wary on dial-up lines - it may take awhile.

Nikon Picture Project

I am a big fan of NikonView as a simple way to edit and maintain my digital photography collection. I finally noticed a new program (probably been out for awhile) that is suppose to replace NikonView eventually? Or may just to compliment it?

I am not done checking it out but I'll post something soon about the differences. I hope just to compliment it. The user interface is slicker but it seems to be missing a few features for NikonView such as image re-sizing.

First Snow in Massachusetts

Well winter has finally arrived with our first snow...

Fishing First Snow Photo

My kids had a blast in the snow today. It is great when it is a bit warm so they can play longer. Ski season is here!

Ladybugs in Love

Ladybugs everywhere lately. I caught the yellow one chasing around the red ladybug. Hmmm... love is the fall air...

Indian Summer of Roses

My folks house in NJ still has some great roses. I took a couple of macro shots today. By the way, it was 70 degrees today :)

It's a Girl!!

Just went today for my wife's ultrasound and after two great boys - we will be having a girl!! Very exciting and here is a picture of a 3-D ultrasound picture of her. I didn't have time to scan it yet but here is a picture of it from my Nikon 4300.

Ain't she pretty!!

Apple Photo iPod

I have been a big fan of the Apple iPod ever since my wife let me buy one several months ago. It has my companion for my sometimes long flights. Listen to some great tunes and have all of my usual PDA information such as my itinerary and some RSS news feeds that I can read while I wait in line.

Now Apple has released the long rumored and denied - Apple Photo iPod with a color screen. I must admit initially I was a purist. You know - iPod for music only since I have always felt that for the size and function it did not make sense to hold photos on my iPod. But I am slowly thinking that this is a great idea given that I use my iPod now as a portable storage device to hold documents and yes even photos. At least now I can view them on the iPod. A nice feature when you want to share your pictures with your distant family when you visit. Even better battery life - 15 hours of music or 5 hours of slideshows with music.

Go to the Apple Store and Check it Out!!
