Indexing Digital Photos
Think about it - who really deletes their digital photos. I have over 2k pictures and growing. So how does one find a particular picture?? You can always go by date which is the easiest. But how about finding all of the pictures of a particular family member. That would be tough so the only "time consuming" thing to do is to tag your pictures. But who has the time?? The article points out that maybe software will be smarter to recognize faces etc. but I find this a huge task for any software program. Or, maybe cameras will tag each picture with the location of the photo using GPS.
This is a pretty cool problem because there needs to be a solution. I smell a business opportunity...

hmmm...Interesting article. Although I have thousands of photos and I have no problems finding the photo I need. I just have different folders, for example "Vacations", "Family", "Parties", etc.
Yup - me too I don't have a problem but I think we are probably in the minority and probably a bit more technology centric. And maybe not so lazy - well let's not go overboard. I am lazy just like my digital photos a bit organized ;)
I wonder if the majority will need something for help...
Well done!

You might look at a very simple but effective device called a Redeslate. It helps index photos as you take them making sorting latter much easier. They are pretty inexpensive and are available online.
